Kurita Water and Environment Foundation (KWEF) supports young researchers.
1. Eligibility for KWEF Research Grant
Required obligations and conditions for the grant recipients are described in "Letter of Acceptance" (form# : KWEF-26RGA-F52).

1) Applicants conduct research in your country between Oct. 2026 and Sep. 2027.
2) Applicants shall be researchers at schools or public institutes in your country, who are not supported by private companies or foreign Governments.

March 1st, 2026 - April 30th, 2026 @ JST (Japan Standard Time)
4. Selection and Notice
1) All application will be reviewed by the KWEF Selection Committee and finally listed at the KWEF Board in July 2026.
2) KWEF sends a qualified Certificate to Listed researcher(awardee) by the end of August 2026 via. e-mail.
Note: The signed LOA (KWEF-26RGA-F52) is required to receive the research grant.

5. How to Apply
1) Download the specific form (KWEF-26APL-F91.docx) and describe the outline of your research proposal.
2) Additionally, a recommendation letter is required by a Japanese Professor for your application.
3) Start your application via. the following "Web Application" button.
