Kurita Water and Environment Foundation (KWEF) supports young researchers in Malaysia.
1. Eligibility for KWEF Research Grant
Required obligations and conditions for the grant recipients are described in "Letter of Acceptance" (form# : KWEF-26RGA-F52).

1) Applicants conduct research in Malaysia between Oct. 2026 and Sep. 2027.
2) Applicants shall be researchers at schools or public institutes in Malaysia, who are not supported by private companies or foreign Governments.
3) Applicants shall be young academician/researchers under 40 years of age (born after April 1, 1986). For PhD candidates, approval from Supervisor is required (note: a master student is not allowed to submit a proposal).

March 12th, 2026 - May 8th, 2026 @ JST (Japan Standard Time)
4. Selection and Notice
1) All application will be reviewed by the KWEF Malaysia Selection Committee and finally listed at the KWEF Board in July 2026.
2) KWEF sends a qualified Certificate to Listed researcher(awardee) by the end of August 2026 via. e-mail.
Note: The signed LOA (KWEF-26RGA-F52) is required to receive the research grant.
